At the 2024 M365 Community Conference, EUM President Peter Carson was joined by Microsoft's very own Naomi Moneypenny, Director of Client Services and Insights and Product Development of Enterprise Search. Naomi leads the product development for Viva Amplify, as well as co-leads development of SharePoint Premium.

In this episode of our In Discussion series, Naomi and Peter discuss some of the common causes of friction between business users and IT. Namely, how IT can be a roadblock for business users to get their work done or collaborate effectively, due to strict security measures and IT managing most aspects of permissions and collaboration settings in a Microsoft 365-based working environment. There is good reason for this - Microsoft 365 has high security standards and offers robust solutions to ensure that your organization's data is protected. In Naomi's words, your information is your company, which is why it is paramount to uphold information protection while enabling collaboration.

With this in mind, Naomi is excited about solutions like Extranet User Manager, which maintains Microsoft 365's security standards while creating a seamless collaboration experience for internal and external users, and allows business users to manage their guest users independently of IT. Learn how we're taking steps to make Microsoft simple.
