Webinar: Open Source Teams Provisioning - Ask Me Anything
Just over two years ago, Envision IT and Extranet User Manager made the decision to publish out an open source site provisioning automation project via GitHub to enable users to provide a structured and governed method of requesting and provisioning sites within SharePoint Online. Since then, that project has continued to evolve and with the emergence of Microsoft Teams, naturally it has developed into a Teams provisioning solution as well. We have now reached in excess of 400 downloads of the provisioning solution whitepaper which breaks down how to install the solution from a technical perspective.
This solution currently provides:
- Self-service forms for requesting new Office 365 Groups, SharePoint sites, Teams and Channels
- Automated workflows for approvals (if desired) and provisioning
- Creation of the Team, SharePoint site, OneNote, Planner, and Channel in a consistent, templated manner
- Automation of SharePoint, OneNote, and Planner when creating new Teams Channels
We have had various new and existing clients, as well as partners utilize the open source provisioning solution and extend the functionalities to fit their business. Now it is your turn to speak out and ask questions to the President of Envision IT/Extranet User Manager Peter Carson about the open source project. Come and share your questions, your experience with it thus far and give him your ideas on how it should evolve!
